Jasmin Chahal is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) supporting adolescents, young adults, adults, and immigrants who are navigating challenges related to identity, relationships, emotional well-being, and major life transitions. Drawing from her background in developmental psychology, her clinical training, and experience across diverse community and mental-health settings, Jasmin has developed a practice grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

Jasmin has worked with clients across a broad age range, including children, adolescents, and adults. She has also supported parents and caregivers by offering guidance on emotional development and practical strategies to better understand and respond to their child’s needs. In her parent and community-based psychoeducational workshops, she focuses on building insight, strengthening communication, and helping individuals and families navigate challenges with greater confidence.

Clients who seek Jasmin often arrive feeling overwhelmed, unsure of themselves, or caught between different expectations—whether cultural, academic, familial, or personal. Many of the individuals she works with are immigrants or first- and second-generation Canadians who are navigating identity, belonging, and the pressure to balance multiple roles. Adolescents and young adults appreciate her non-judgmental presence and the sense of safety she brings as they explore who they are and learn to manage stress and emotional challenges. Adults find her supportive approach helpful when working through life transitions, relationship stress, or periods of uncertainty.

Jasmin’s practice focuses on cultural and identity-related concerns, particularly within South Asian and immigrant communities. She also supports adolescents and young adults as they navigate emotional development, identity, and the pressures of academic and relational stress. Her work includes trauma-informed support for clients processing difficult experiences, as well as therapy for anxiety, stress, and burnout.

Jasmin is known for her warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive presence, offering clients a non-judgmental space to explore their experiences. Her trauma-informed and compassionate approach helps clients feel safe, understood, and supported throughout the therapeutic process. She uses a semi-structured style that offers gentle direction while allowing clients to move at a pace that feels right for them. Central to her work is building a strong therapeutic relationship—creating a consistent, supportive environment where clients can reflect, build insight, and navigate emotional challenges with greater confidence.

Jasmin’s clinical foundations are supported by her Master of Psychology training at Adler Graduate Professional School, alongside a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education from the University of Toronto. She has also completed CBT Level I and II training with Wilfrid Laurier University, which strengthens her ability to integrate practical, skills-based strategies into her work.

Beyond her clinical work, Jasmin serves as the Wellness Lead at Savyn, a trauma-informed digital mental-health platform, where she helps guide the trauma-informed design and development of the platform’s mental-health features. Her contributions help users access tools that promote emotional regulation and grounding. She also brings research experience focused on cultural attitudes toward mental health, which deepens her understanding of the systemic and cultural factors that shape clients’ experiences.
