David Ooi

David is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). He is a graduate of the Gestalt Institute in Toronto and a member of The Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT).

David works relationally and experientially in the here and now. With warmth and humour, he co-creates with his client a space that is both safe and challenging. David also works holistically, paying careful attention to the connection between mind, body and spirit.

Previously, David was a part of the counselling team at George Brown College’s Transition to Post-Secondary Education (TPE) program, working with mature students who self-identified with addiction and mental health issues. Besides his therapy practice, David has been a campus chaplain at the University of Toronto for many years, serving mainly Asian Canadian and international students.

He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
