Mary is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and MACP (Candidate) with Yorkville University.

Mary specializes in life transitions and the emotional complexity that comes with change. She works with individuals at pivotal moments, whether they're shifting careers, stepping into retirement, or navigating uncertainty about what comes next.

Periods of transition can feel destabilizing, leaving you untethered, caught between a past identity and an undefined future. As the familiar structure of life shifts, deeper emotions can emerge self-doubt, hesitation, or unresolved questions about who you are. Therapy with Mary offers a space to slow down, make sense of these feelings, and explore the personal narratives that shape how you experience change.

Her path to psychotherapy was shaped by years of firsthand experience in executive recruitment, investment advising, and higher education. Through these roles, she witnessed how professional reinvention and change deeply affect emotional well-being. She saw the need for a space where individuals could work through these feelings, deepen self-awareness, and begin trusting their own evolution.

Mary's approach is humanistic and strengths-based, drawing from narrative and psychodynamic therapy. She creates a steady, reflective space for clients to pause and reconnect with themselves. She helps individuals process grief, explore personal identity beyond work, and engage with their evolving sense of self. This collaborative process also extends to her work with neurodivergent individuals, guiding them toward a greater sense of resilience and self-trust. For Mary, therapy is not about quick fixes but about embracing the long game of growth and change.

Her practice is well-suited for professionals, students, and individuals adjusting to retirement, career disruptions, or involuntary transitions out of industries they've called home. She recognizes the difficulty of stepping away from a long-standing professional identity and the delicate process of redefining purpose. Change can disrupt what's familiar, but it also offers the possibility of rediscovery.

The first step is often the hardest, but you don't have to take it alone. Schedule a no-cost 15-minute consultation to see if you and Mary are a good fit.
