Terry is a psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). With over 15 years of experience in providing supportive services to children, families and young adults, he offers a therapeutic space that is welcoming, accepting and affirming. Individuals and families experience Terry as calm, compassionate, generous, kind, thoughtful and perceptive. He works in and with the present moment, encouraging a natural unfolding and progression of the therapeutic journey. His approach builds collaborative relationships and guides the therapeutic process at an individualized and personalized pace.

Terry holds the view that psychotherapy provides an opportunity for us to explore our lives and our experiences, to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, isolation and social adjustments, compulsive addictive concerns, and to cultivate personal self-awareness, growth and enhanced well-being. Therapy can be an expedition that provides us with many chances to pause the busy flow of fast-paced living, reconnect with ourselves more authentically, and move towards more engaged and fulfilling practices that support you living your best life.

Terry works with children, individuals (youth, adults), couples, families, and groups and supports people experiencing various issues including: procrastination, anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, depression, chronic health challenges, challenges with eating (e.g. binge eating, purging, etc.), body image issues, relationship concerns, sexual and gender identity and self-esteem.

Terry has provided services in a number of organizations with people experiencing mental health/addiction issues, major life adjustment, relationship challenges, and LGBTQ identities. Terry has also taught in university settings and supported young adults navigate life and career decision making processes.

Terry holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University. He applies an integrative approach and his training includes a range of modalities including: culturally sensitive, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural, recovery, solution-focused, strengths-based, narrative, harm-reduction, and motivational enhancement.
